2005 Central Maine Youth Football Clinic

Featuring players and Coaches from the

Super Bowl XXXIX Champion New England Patriots

Last year Terri and I took our two boys and a friend from down the street to this clinic. We had only heard about it through a chance meeting with the organizer one day last Spring. Not knowing what to expect we arrived the first day and paid at the gate. Just as "advertised" were players from the Patriots. Two of the players at last year's clinic were Bethel Johnson  (Wide Receiver) and Ty Warren  (Defensive Lineman). All of the players were friendly and glad to be at the clinic. They worked with the kids running drills and talking about different aspects of the game. At the end of the clinic they signed autographs for anyone that wanted them and posed for pictures.

The crowds were not large at all. In fact we were surprised to see how few people turned out. All in all it was a great time and if you or your children are Patriots fans then I highly recommend that you go.

One thing to note though is that there's no telling which players will be at the clinic. The organizer I talked with last year said that each year it's different. For example in the past they have had Tom Brady and Adam Vinatieri among others. This year? Who knows.
