PACK 585 NEWS

Welcome Back! The following are events and information for the months of September and October.
 

Tuesday, September 13th at 6:00pm	SCOUT RECRUITMENT NIGHT To be held at the Mallett School. We'll sign up new Scouts at this meeting. All current Scouts are welcome to attend (in uniform). This takes the place of a September Pack Meeting, and we'll discuss popcorn sales.
Tuesday, September 20th at 6:30pm	Leaders' Meeting To be held at McDonald's in Farmington. These will be held on the third Tuesday of every month. The next will be held on October 18th.
Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd	FALL CAMPOREE To be held at the Clinton Lions Club Fairgrounds. This will include two nights of camping. Cubs can camp out or just show up for Saturday day activities. An adult needs to accompany each Scout, and each person will be responsible for his own food. If you are interested, please contact Doug at the number below. Attached is a flyer with more information.
Saturday, October 1st	TRAILBLAZER DAY To be held at Camp Hinds in Raymond. This is a fun day for Cubs and parents. CIVIL WAR PRESENTATION To be held at Prescott Field in Farmington (by the Narrow Gauge Cinemas. This was rescheduled from last Spring and will have a rain date of Sunday, October 2nd. Tuesday, October 4th at 6:00pm	PACK MEETING To be held at the Elks Lodge in West Farmington. This monthly meeting is for Cubs and their families and is held on the first Tuesday of each month. At Pack Meetings Cub Scouts will receive any advancements that they have earned and more!

POPCORN POPCORN POPCORN POPCORN

The Popcorn Sale is our BIG fund raiser. You should receive your forms in the mail by September 5th. If you don't receive one, please contact our Assistant Cubmaster and Fundraising Chairman, Barbara Bridges (779-1827 or 592-9984) or Doug and Kerstin Hand (778-5232). The orders are due on October 20th and we will have the popcorn ready for distribution on November 12th. If a Scout makes at least $100.00 in sales, the Pack will pay his yearly dues! If a Scout completely fills up an order form, he will receive a $10.00 Gift Certificate from the Council, in addition to any prizes that he has earned.
